Each piece is an original hand crafted one-of-a kind creation and is made with lots of love, heart and soul into each piece and is signed and dated by me.
A self-taught mosaic artist since 2000. I began creating Funky artwork at a young age when I began rescuing and salvaging unwanted and discarded items from jewelry to shells and mixed it up with some wild imagination to create Funky Mosaics. I live in beautiful paradise, Hollywood, Florida. Practically a native here now from Brooklyn, New York, I'm lovin the weather and the palm trees. I came up with the name "Funky Mosaics" because the artwork is different and Funky and I also instruct Funky Latin and Hip Hop exercise classes throughout Dade and Broward County Florida for over 27 years. I love to make things more fun and Funky and bring life back to unwanted and discarded items.
All material that is used is of special value and has history in every piece and in every project. Items consists of stained glass, ceramic tile, broken china, marble, shells, costume jewelry, rhinestone jewelry, (my fav) and everything and anything that I can get my hands on to create the most incredible piece of art! I rescue broken and unwanted costume jewelry, broken plates, vases and cups to create that Funky and different artwork.
